He ended the day's mission by making his first three-out inning.

On the day, Park played four-seam fastballs up to 150 kilometers. By properly mixing 48 four-seam fastballs, 27 sliders, 20 curves, and six folk balls, Park completed quality start pitching.

"I am happy to repay the fans who came to my opening game with a victory even in the cold weather," Park said after the game. "As I was preparing for this game, the coach advised me to make the slider angle bigger, and I received a lot of help from coaches Joo Hyung-kwang and Lee Jae-yul.
